To help guide our actions as a responsible business and our aims with respect to our people, communities and planet, we created Journey to Tomorrow: our 10-year action plan. Together with those who stay, work and partner with us, we will shape the future of responsible travel and ensure we deliver on our purpose of True Hospitality for Good.
As we embark on an exciting and important journey, we know it’s going to take a truly global team effort to achieve our ambitious targets.
Each and every colleague has a part to play, and Giving for Good month is a great way for us to all come together and work towards improving the lives of 30 million people.
Additionally, during September, we’ll be focusing on recognising our hotel colleagues for their incredible efforts through our recovery. Across our digital channels we’ll showcase some of the best stories of how our hotels are stepping up to support our guests and responding to various challenges as demand picks up.
Since its launch in 2018, Giving for Good month has seen IHG colleagues provide more than 300,000 acts of kindness in our communities around the world. The impact of Covid-19 meant that we were unable to stage our traditional Giving for Good month of action during 2020, however, we did things a little differently, hosting our first-ever Giving for Good Awards, which celebrated the efforts of more than 28,000 colleagues across the globe.STORIES
